What’s in my Subscription Box – DMU First Impression

OH OH OH!! Christmas is here and 2017 is about to end… wow one more year of learning has already passed!! So a few days ago I got to know about this new subscription box in town called Doll Me Up A.K.A DMU. As you guys know how much I love the idea of subscription boxes and always love trying new products, which of course made me subscribe to this Box as well.

The whole idea of this box is to introduce their subscribers to new trending makeup products and the brands, which eventually saves your time and money both. Honestly, I expected it to be a much bigger box but surprisingly I was not disappointed when I saw the products. Looking at what was inside the box, I was kind of overwhelmed as all the products are not just branded but they are high-quality ones. None of the products were from the drug store. Let’s began with What’s in my subscription box and see what have I got inside.

Starting with the design of the box which is pretty decent and neat but nothing to flaunt about. As I mentioned it is comparatively quite smaller but it includes well-known brands and quality products, so no complaints. Abstract design of the box, pretty tied black bow and my name and address imprinted on the box is what got my attention at first. YES, of course, I am not going to keep the box with me, but these little details are what I notice very first.

There were 2 notes inside the box, one was a welcome note and the other one had all the details and the cost of the product. I wish they could work a little better on the second note. The font size are very small to read (PSST… No I don’t have specs ) and the color of these fonts was making it more difficult. Moreover, mentioning from where to buy these products would have made sense. The quality of the paper was not good either, a small brochure or better quality paper would have been a bit better to create that first impression.

Now let’s talk about the products,

I loved each and every product I got in this box. And few brands I had never heard before (that’s because I am not a ~~big~~ makeup junkie) were also the part of the box.

Urban Decay eye-shadow in flash:- The eye-shadow is highly pigmented and velvety finish that lasts very long and also is crease free. It is a full-size product and the cost is 70 AED.

Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss:- The texture is quite like pudding which feels gel-like at first and then turns in to powdered texture and lasts for day long. It is a full-size product and the cost is 88 AED.

Smashbox be legendary Cream Lipstick Limited edition:- The shade I got was WITCHY and I am in love with this lipstick. It has creamy in texture and spreads like butter. It is a travel-size product and the cost is 52 AED.

Jouer cosmetics long wear lip crème liquid lipstick: It is the most weightless and long lasting lipstick I have ever used. That Nude shade, I am totally totally in love with. It is a travel-size product and the cost is 44 AED. (Highly recommended)

And the last but not least,

Becca first light priming filter face primer :- so what I am not a makeup junkie, I never skip wearing primers. Though is haven’t yet tried this one as yet but I believe this reduces the signs of a bad complexion and gives you fresh, awake and hydrated skin. It is a Travel-size product and the cost is 66 AED.

My final verdict,

I subscribed myself for 6 months for which I paid 501 aed which included 10 % discount and yes they have delivery charges on per box which is around 15 aed which means the first delivery was included in the payment I made and from next delivery I will be paying 15 aed on each box, which I think they should work on. Coz I am have been subscribed to many boxes in past but was never charged for delivery. The products no doubt are amazing and worth every single penny. If I calculate the total worth of this box is around 320 aed here I got 2 full size and 3 travel size quality products. And I am still left with 5 boxes in future. Which means if you are a makeup lover then would highly recommend and blindly subscribe yourself. I am sure you won’t regret.
